    Works but unsecured

    After mounting the rack, it seems sturdy enough but the security leaves a lot to be desired. I've had several roof racks before (factory, Yakima, Thule) and the security feature at least seems like it could prevent a 'normal' person from just stealing your stuff. Unfortunately, the 'secured' cover plate on this rack is made of very soft, flexible plastic that looks like it would bend/break easily and provide someone with access to the mounting mechanism, thus making the rack and the contents unsecured. I'm ready to use them to transport my bikes but wouldn't dare leave them out of sight.
