    It's cheap because it's... Cheap.

    Out of the box these boards look good. The design is complimentary to the jeep even if the color is not quite a match to the factory black fender flares. Where things go south is with the brackets and bolts. The larger bolts that go into the frame are fine. It's the smaller fasteners that go into the body horizontally that cause grief. The threaded bolts are welded to the bracket. The entire bracket and bolt are painted or coated. As a result the threads have a layer of paint on them that makes the provided nuts too tight. While installing the nuts with a handwrench I broke the weld on one and snapped the bolt itself on another. If the bolts were not welded to the bracket and were not painted the installation would have gone much more smoothly and the production costs would have likely ...

    The value for the dollar can't be beat!

    Compared to the OEM, I am not sure what the difference might be, however these fit the jeep like a glove. All the fasteners were in line with the body and mounting points. I certainly would go this route vs the OEM for three times the cost. Hell, if I hit a rock with these its cheap enough just to get another set.
