Good universal kit
Ordered this to replace a failed OEM unit on a 1991 4Runner. This new unit is described as fitting my vehicle. It does, sort of. In and of itself, this is a pretty good pump kit, but it is not a direct OEM replacement. It's more of a universal part. The existing wiring harness on my vehicle does not fit the new pump terminals (I did know this prior to purchase and wasn't worried about it). The body of the pump is also a little too tall to sit properly in its mounting location, as due to the shape of the reservoir, there is a slight interference. A light filing solved that. The grommet that seals the pump to the reservoir seemed to fit well but ended up leaking a little. Could well have been age & deformation of the old reservoir port. A little RTV took care of that. Wiring is easy for anyone with any 12V experience, and the kit offers a couple different options. The kit does not come with mounting brackets, so make sure to save your old ones. Other than that, the pump pumps fluid - what more does one want? It's a good value for the money, just know that it's likely not a plug-and play unit.
