    Speedometer pickup is for 4 speed not 5 speed transmission.

    I assume you have the V6, if so your speed pickup is through the EATX computer (transaxle computer). The A604/41TE does not have a speedometer pinion location on the right (passenger side) extension housing. If the transmission is shifting correctly then the input and output sensors are good. There is a small blue 6 pin test plug inside the car on the driver's side probably near the fuse box. This is where the transaxle diagnostics are done. On the parts catalog, you need to only look at the overdrive transaxle, the other is for the 4 cyl engines.
