Same steel construction as the original VM Motori idlers. Fit my Liberty CRD perfectly.
One of the 2 idler pulleys on my engine failed to the point where the bearings vaporized! I've never seen an idler pulley fail quite so spectacularly! I should've replaced both when I did my timing belt at 95k miles, but here we are at 122k miles now and I'm definitely doing both. The complete failure of 1 pulley made the vehicle undriveable, and while disassembling the accessory belt system to replace it, I realized the other wasn't far behind. If you're replacing 1, just replace both and save yourself what will most certainly be a tow bill. These look just like the VM Motori factory idlers. I threw on a new belt also, and everything is much better now. If you haven't replaced the tensioner, replace that too. I did mine at 95k and it's still fine. **Word of caution** the bolt ...
