My starter was packaged extremely poorly. It came with the contact stud sticking out of the cardboard box. I contacted the vendor and sent pictures and they replied with some generic response asking me for my Year, make and model because that is somehow relevant to their poor packaging I was able to repair the threads on the stud but I would not buy from this vendor again.
