OEM thermostat
OEM Honda part. This thermostat is in a very tight spot to access. I was not about to install a cheap aftermarket part, after killing myself to install this new one. For what ? So it can fail in a few months ? Price was right, shipping was fast, job got done, truck has heat now. Glad it's over with. The original part lasted 110,000 miles...,,so hopefully I won't have to go back to that area for quite some time. Aftermarket parts are great for " easy access areas". I've had aftermarket thermostats get stuck in the " closed" position. That is called engine death. Extreme overheating in a short amount of time. The cylinder heads warp or crack, you blow head gaskets. Just not worth it. Go back with OEM to be safe.OEM Honda part. This thermostat is in a very tight spot to access.
