    Perfect fit

    I got this to replace a valve cover that was leaking at the spark plug seal on a 2003 Altima. It is well constructed and fit perfectly. It comes with the gasket preinstalled. It also has the PCV valve on it. This was good for me because my old PCV hose was so hard and brittle that removing it caused the nipple of the valve to break off inside the hose. I recommend also getting the PCV hose along with this cover.

    So far so good

    Took a few tries to get it seated properly. Seems to teeter from front to back. Perhaps I should have seated the tube seals first. The second try was more successful. It was hard to get an accurate torque reading with a conventional torque wrench on the cover bolts. One bolt broke off in the cylinder head. I suggest just tightening with a 6 inch socket wrench until the bolt shoulders stop on the cylinder head. There appears to be no leaking after several hours of driving, even at the broken bolt. Have to wait and see now. It helps if you can get the gasket to stay in the cover or it will fall out. I used thick grease in a few spots and maybe some glue might work too. This was a great value only 30 bucks, less than an oil change.

    Valve cover tube seals were ;leaking on the old one so I ordered this replacement cover and the job was done . I did not have to clean old cover which saved time .

    With a little Mods

    So all in all the cover went on really smooth no problems took about 10 minutes. But the bolts that hold down the coil packs are 2 long and need one small washer each. They go together perfect with the washer.
