Worked, but. . .
I had my mechanic install this unit. It worked immediately, so no complaint there. However, the minute I drove away from the shop, the "open door" light and alarm began going off intermittently whenever I went over a bump or whoopteedoo. This got old quick, so I brought it back in and had mechanic look at it. The trigger for the alarm is part of the unit, and we determined that the trigger magnet wasn't working properly. I told the mechanic that I thought the unit movement wasn't smooth, so I would shoot some silicon spray on it. Fortunately, that worked, and it's worked fine for a week without so much as a hiccup. So, my note to the rebuild is this: Make sure the action is smooth before you ship them.I had my mechanic install this unit. It worked immediately, so no complaint there. The actuator was way cheaper because it was a rebuilt instead of having to pay the dealership a lot more money. It worked good and was easy to install by my local mechanic.
