    Metal Handle — Not Plastic!

    This metal handle easily replaced the broken plastic one on my husband’s tailgate! It’s finish is lovely. Even though the product is not as wide as the OEM plastic one, it makes zero difference in use and aesthetics. It’s beautiful! It’s hard to believe a little handle on the back of a truck can make any difference in appearance, but it does! The handle is definitely an excellent value for the price! What’s more, we’ve had the handle on for several months now, and it’s shown no signs of wear. Sturdy! Do pay a little bit more for this metal handle over any of the plastic—it’s worth it!

    Tough Little Handle

    This is a very rugged little latch. I recently broke my tailgate latch( Plastic unit) after installing a PopLock device. So I went to Ford garage and bought replacement another plastic unit. The PopLock doesn't work well with the new latch. So i had an idea to try a metal handle and design my own locking system. The metal latch works like a champ and was one third the price of the plastic counterpart. I was thinking about buying a few of these and try reselling with my new locking system...we'll see but for now it's all good.

    Works but...

    This tailgate handle is well made and a good enough fit however the plastic underside cover 'plate' does not fit flush against the tailgate metal evenly right the way along as it should, no matter how you try to adjust it for symmetry. So, not perfect but a good sturdy replacement.

    It works, better than OEM

    Feels heavy in my hand, installed easy, and didn't break when I opened my old tailgate, people around me all say it looks nice too. Easy win, and so happy to have my tailgate working on my truck.
