Far too soft for a optional variable rate spring
These are decent springs if what they are replacing is the base model lightweight 2wd Escape, the AWD models are heavier & in particular these rear springs are far too soft for the heavier Escapes. I have a set of these installed into my Titanium (3700lbs) & the weight bottoms out (closes the coils completely) the upper soft portion of the variable rate spring so they do nothing at all for carrying the load. The OEM rear springs have a far greater spring rate than these do.These are decent springs if what they are replacing is the base model lightweight 2wd Escape, the AWD models are heavier & in particular these rear springs are far too soft for the heavier Escapes. I have a set of these installed into my Titanium (3700lbs) & the weight bottoms out (closes the coils completely) the upper soft portion of the variable rate spring so they do nothing at all for carrying the load. The OEM rear springs have a far greater spring rate than these do.
