Do not buy from this seller. I asked if the item was used and the reply was that it just looked aged, and it was a new item. When I opened the box it was obviously used, and in terrible condition. No wonder this seller has a no return policy. I repeat, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!

Worked nicely, truck used to have a guage that would be showing too much of a charge on freeway. I put this in now its solid in the center. For the first few days there were probably 3-4 times were the guage and my tachometer would act strange for like 2 seconds but i think it was because i over greased the bearing and alittle got on my brushes. When installing it on my alternator i had to put some washers on my new regulator to have the same clearence as the old one.Worked nicely, truck used to have a guage that would be showing too much of a charge on freeway. Exact replacement for 1986 Ranger 2.3. But a set of brushes because you have to take alternator off to install this part.
