The box it came in looked roughed up quite a bit - but the glasses were unharmed - and they worked! When it comes to magnifying eye glasses stores sell off the rack - they don't seem to sell any that are over 3.75 in strength- which is why I ordered these - and as I said - they worked! Not to mention they as good in quality as the ones bought in grocery stores, discount stores, etc. AND I thought the tortoise shell pattern was quite attractive.
