My hood now comes up by itself.. Not going to have it fall on my back ever again, and I'm thankful... Though I'd recommend these specifically for OEM hoods.. They are made much more sturdy than aftermarket, and these lifts have a LOT of force. Not sure what would happen to a hood with less weight, and 70 MPH updraft from movement..
