The second alternator arrived and it was also damaged. The post that the main wire goes on was bent over and the plastic sheathing was broken. I was able to repair that problem. The alternator is installed and works fine. I put a meter on it and it is charging what it is supposed to. Thank you for the correspondence about the first alternator and fixing the problem with it. The box that the second alternator arrived in was in pretty bad shape. It was very poorly packaged.
