    Pump is Good but Strainer not Included

    Would have given 5 stars had package come with a strainer. Will have to buy separately at added cost making this less of a good value buy. This item with a separate strainer will cost about the same as other pumps with strainer included. Good pump though!.

    Badly cast electrical connector. Tricky to make fit.

    I'm torn here. I have managed to make this pump work, but you'd be forgiven for giving up. The electrical connector is simply not correct. It's REALLY close... but the only way to make it fit on my BMW was to sand the surface lightly with 600 grit. The original (dead) pump slipped on and of easily with a simple 'click' as the connector locked. I don't think this one was too rough, it was simply ever so slightly too big. I eventually got it to slide on far enough to make the connection, but it never would go far enough for the locking clip to 'click'. Not that it matters. It's not coming off any more easily. So while it's very good value (if you can persuade it to fit), it is NOT a perfect copy of the Continental part it's emulating. Don't buy it if you aren't prepared to tinker.
