    Remanufactured (spray painted) to look new and no axle nut

    I have been purchasing Detroit Axle parts for years, just about every front suspension part of every vehicle I own is from Detroit Axle. This CV axle fits. NO AXLE NUT IS INCLUDED, picture is deceiving. My axle also looked nothing like the picture, every part but the CV boots were spray painted primer grey. Guess I won't judge a part by it's color and give it a fair run but initial impression is not so great.

    Poor quality parts.

    After I put the axel in. The rubber boor was split 1½ inches. it slung cheap black grease all over my fender well and front under side of my truck. I also both a tie rod end, the threads were stripped out on the ball going end.. I called Detroit Gear, the needed the order number, which I didn't have at hand. Their parts are cheaply made. I see why they sell parts at discounted prices. CHEAP MADE PARTS.
