    Bigger not necessarily better.

    This carb was actually bought as a parts unit. The genuine Weber I was trying to fix went totally bad so the parts were pulled back off and the parts unit was bolted onto the car. It performed well with nice top end power. The only complaint is that the times are very little better than those from a Holly-Weber 36 and distinctly worse than those from a Weber 36 DCD. Some development might help the situation. We will see.
