k and n air filter was chrome and not black like in the photo. and the shield doesnt fit on top only covers the tranny on a 2012 maxima. was nice they sent an extra filter (no brand) and fornuately they did because the k and n with the shield will not fit

Sorry about that! We have never heard of the chrome vented top style K&N not fitting. Can you send us a picture if possible? We could send you an older style rubber top filter if it will solve the problem.
