Not accurate
As a preventive maintenance measure I replace my thermostat in my Chrysler van every 2 years. My old thermostat on the temperature guage showed a higher temperature than this new one. This one the guage is visably lower. While it seems to work of it doesn't blow as hot therefore i conclude that while it says its a 190 degree thermostat, it probably acts more like a 175-180 degree level. In this case there is not much you can do but replace it with another and keep fingers crossed as to its accuracy.
