When I ordered these pillar posts, I was unsure of what color they would actually be. I had a set of the piano black plastic covers which looked fine initially, but they faded in the Texas sun to a purple color. While theses Black Platinum covers are not as deep black as the piano black, they are made of stainless steel, and are very highly polished, with an excellent fit. They look outstanding on the car. The only downside is these do show fingerprints easily (but are easily wiped off).
